Conveniently located in Waxhaw, NC, Waxhaw Way Kennels is open 7 days a week. Our convenience hours are from 8 AM to 12 PM — 2 PM to 6 PM. We do close promptly for lunch every day between 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Any other arrangements for dropping off or picking up during the first & last hour of the day must do so by appointment in advance. No appointment after 6:30 PM. We close promptly at 7:00 PM, check-out's after 7:00 PM as well as our lunch hours of 12PM-2PM is an additional $25.00 for late fee. We have dogs staying with us from Waxhaw, Indian Trail, Weddington, Monroe, Mint Hill, Matthews, Charlotte, as well as South Carolina.
In addition, our dog walking park is open to the public and we are proud to have the first canine swim center in the area. Our newest addition is our Canine Day Camp. We now offer pickup and delivery services. Call for times available and prices. |

Exercise and Fun!
 Our
24-pen facility is managed by a friendly, animal-loving staff of five.
Not only do we care for your dog's physical needs - we make sure your
dog has the best possible time while boarding with us! Your dog will
exercise twice a day with a walk on our shady, 12-acre trail, and
in the afternoon will enjoy 15 minutes of playtime alone with a staff
member in our unleashed park* (both of these features are included
with the stay at no extra fee). The Boarders have access to the pool
for a fee of
$7.50. They get a 15 minute swim with one of our staff.
Because we're small, we have more time to cater to each dog's special
needs. We give them plenty of love and attention!
*Due to animal health regulations, we can't allow dogs to play
together in the unleashed park unless they belong to the same owner and are being
boarded together. Dogs who fall into this category can enjoy the play area together. |

Pens
Each kennel consists of a 4 ft. x 12 ft. area. A 4 ft. x 4 ft. fully
insulated block housing, and a 4 ft. x 8 ft. accessible
run. Dogs are free to come and go in that area as they need to - day
or night. The pens are divided by 4 ft. high walls, making them safer
and more sanitary (this allows more privacy for each dog, as well).
We provide a top quality dog food, Diamond Pet Food,
but you can bring your own.
Minimum
Stay Policy and Holidays
There is a 2 day minimum stay on all stays. Our holiday stays must
be a minimum of 5 days and we do require a deposit of $10.00 that
goes towards your stay. It is not an extra fee.
The $10.00 deposit is also required for all stays.
You must call four days in advance to cancel a reservation in order to get your $10.00 deposit refunded. We do not take reservations
or cancellations through our web site. You must call to make an arrangement.
Be sure to always cancel regardless so you are not charged for your confirmed stay. You are responsible for paying for all the days you have reserved; unless you call before you drop off, to change any dates, Not when you arrive for your stay at the kennel.
Visitors are welcome by appointment only. Please call to make arrangements for tours.

Day Camp:
At Waxhaw Way Kennels Day Camp for dogs, $25.00 will provide a fun-filled adventure for your pet. We start early in the morning. Your dogs must be here by 9:00 a.m. and pickup by 6:00 p.m. (we close at 7:00). The day's activities include meals if they are here for them. Treats provided for positive behavior. We will provide long tranquil walks out on our trails 4 times a day, 30 minutes in our agility yard twice a day. We are not responsible for the socialization of your pet so they will not be allowed to play with others while they are here. They are however always supervised by someone on our staff.
Day camp is not available on major holidays.
The pool area is not included in our day camp schedule unless you request pool time. There will be an extra fee of $7.50 for that area. If interested ask for more information on our pet pool.
This is not just another stay at the kennel. We are a day camp not day care. We provide entertainment for them all day long. Come enjoy 1 day or 5 times a week. We are so glad to have you...Your dogs will be glad they came!!!!
Dog Requirements:
Vaccinations Required: Rabies, parvo-distemper,
and bordetella vaccines. We will require you to bring your dog's
vaccination records.If updates or vaccinations are needed, a $25 transportation fee will be charged.
Additional Services:
We offer a bath, ear flushing, and nail cutting with boarding at a rate of $20.00 per dog, call for reservations and prices. We also offer swim and massage therapy in the Canine Swim Center . |
